Engineering Manager – CNC Machining

Job Summary
Lead a manufacturing engineering team designing, optimizing, and executing CNC machining processes for critical commercial, aerospace, and defense components. Review and approve complex CNC programs, manufacturing plans, and fixture designs while driving cycle time reductions through advanced tooling and high-speed machining strategies. Oversee the transition of customer designs from initial RFQ to full production, conducting DFM reviews and developing manufacturing routing, BOMs, and work instructions. Enforce compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR regulations by supporting internal and external audits and maintaining flawless engineering documentation. Establish department goals aligned with company growth and efficiency targets while mentoring engineering staff. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering required with 10+ years of high-precision CNC experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in high-precision CNC machining
- 5 years of direct supervisory or engineering management experience
- 5 years experience within an ISO regulated industry
- Expertise in CAM/CAD software, specifically Mastercam, NX, or Catia, and SolidWorks
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards
- Proficiency in multi-axis machining, including 4-axis and 5-axis milling and mill-turn centers
- Strong command of metallurgy, specifically machining titanium, Inconel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems for routing and bill of materials management
- Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen or Permanent Resident)
