Job Summary
Champion the safety-driven strategy by preventing serious injuries and driving continuous improvement across the large engine and battery development facility. Lead multidisciplinary teams in technical services, facility maintenance, and logistics while managing external service providers and contracts. Provide specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various enterprise areas. Manage high-impact facility operation initiatives and projects to ensure achievement of maintenance plans and quality standards. Maintain facility contracts within budget while overseeing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques
- ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning
- Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques
- ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs
- Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods
- ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
- Knowledge of processes involved in managing people
- ability to lead successful teams
- ability to diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
- ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects
- ability to ensure efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives
- This position requires working onsite five days a week
- Relocation is available for this position
