Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead BusPatrol's platform modernization from a legacy monolith to microservices/serverless Automated Safety Platform. Responsibilities include building and growing a high-performing engineering team, fostering ownership and innovation, and delivering scalable, secure products in partnership with U.S. counterparts and business leaders. Key areas: leadership and people management, organizational growth, strategic partnership with product and cross-functional stakeholders, technical direction on architecture and transition to modern platforms, execution and delivery of initiatives, engineering excellence (CI/CD, observability, secure coding, test-driven development), and innovation. Preferred qualifications include 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in management, backend experience in Python (with React/Angular frontend exposure a plus), strong AWS expertise (Lambda, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway), CI/CD, Docker, DevOps practices, and knowledge of AI-driven development and computer vision-based applications. BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
