Job Summary
Lead the Manufacturing and Test Engineering team at the Mesa, AZ production facility, ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety requirements and quality standards. Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Planning teams to manufacture high-quality products in a repeatable and cost-effective manner. Provide leadership, coaching, and resource planning for the team while establishing objectives and schedules. Analyze workforce utilization and design equipment layouts for maximum efficiency, define capital equipment for process improvements, and drive Design for Manufacturability inputs during design reviews. Develop efficient manufacturing processes using Lean techniques, facilitate new product transitions to production, and establish work instructions to optimize manufacturability. Maximize product quality and minimize liability exposure through quality control technologies.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering
- Minimum 8 years Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years New Product Introduction experience
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to interact well and coach team members
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
