Job Summary
Engineering Manager at Biffa Horsham plant: lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team; foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with engineering and H&S standards; drive asset reliability through preventative maintenance with PM compliance above 95%; reduce breakdowns and reactive maintenance; manage contractors with safe systems of work and quality delivery; conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement sustainable solutions; plan, execute and improve shutdown activities to minimise downtime and risk; own engineering OPEX and contribute to CAPEX planning while embedding engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous engineering/maintenance management experience.
- Experience of managing health and safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- An engineering / asset management qualification
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Budget / P&L management skills
- Comfortable with the use of all Microsoft applications and ability to use or learn to use others (Trello / Slack)
- Highly skilled manager with a coaching and developmental style. You will be confident in effectively managing the performance of others.
