Job Summary
Engineering Manager to oversee performance, compliance and maintenance of a diverse Perth CBD portfolio. Role is predominantly field-based (approximately 75% in-field, 25% in-office) with technical oversight across building services, asset maintenance, compliance, and infrastructure improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance, providing technical support across mechanical/electrical/fire/hydraulic/building systems, supporting asset lifecycle planning and energy-efficiency projects, investigating building faults with practical recommendations, supervising contractor performance, supporting after-hours emergencies, and fostering strong client/contractor relationships. Essential skills include experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and major building plant, knowledge of maintenance-related regulatory requirements, problem-solving during faults, autonomous work style, willingness for after-hours response, and strong communication with stakeholders. Desirable: FM experience, security systems exposure, practical hands-on maintenance, and experience in highly regulated environments. Eligiblity requires Australian working rights and ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and major building plant
- Exposure to mechanical, electrical, fire and hydraulic services
- Knowledge of maintenance-related legislative and statutory requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly during building faults or incidents
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative
- Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency response
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
