Job Summary
Engineering Manager role aligned to the BEMEX and TRS+Pay Transparency teams at Benifex. Directly manages engineers, guides work, estimations and removes blockers; collaborates with Product Manager and Tech Lead to coach squad members on technical contributions and roadmaps; drives adherence to development methodologies while standardising processes and maintaining autonomy for delivery; tracks tasks, velocity and squad-level deliverables; aligns teams to company objectives and OKRs, monitors engineer well-being, and promotes continuous improvement. The role requires leadership experience, a focus on high-quality code, and experience with Agile practices, plus familiarity with Generative AI-related work streams.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable ability in building and leading high-calibre engineering teams
- Experience leading engineering teams working on Generative AI (Prompt Engineering, Fine Tuning, RAG)
- Ability to translate product requirements into squad plans and capacity with a focus on quality
- Experience implementing and iterating on Agile processes (Scrum or Kanban) including estimation and sprint planning
- Strong people management and communication skills with the ability to motivate and resolve conflicts
- Familiarity with using Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to set measurable goals
- Willingness to be based in the UK or Ireland and work in a hybrid setup
