Job Summary
Lead multiple Agile engineering teams to plan, deliver, and support features; oversee backlogs, milestones, risks, and dependencies; ensure code quality and release to production within risk management frameworks; foster a learning-based culture; coach engineers to be versatile and responsible beyond core disciplines; conduct line management activities (1:1s, development plans, performance reviews); drive continuous improvement of development and delivery processes; promote collaboration with stakeholders and balance speed with quality; utilize microservices, Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, ReactJS, databases (Postgres, MongoDB), and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, CloudFormation) in a cloud-first environment; hybrid working model with generous benefits and opportunities for career advancement in a banking/financial services context.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years software development experience
- 5+ years leading cross-functional Agile teams
- Solid understanding of Software Quality and DevOps environments
- Proven experience with SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall)
- Proven ability to manage complex technology projects with multiple teams
- Real-world experience with large-scale Agile adoption
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Experience with IT Service Management (e.g. Release Management) and ServiceNow or similar
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
