Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Lead a high-performing engineering team across process, project, and controls disciplines, setting clear performance expectations and driving succession planning. Ensure safe, stable, and efficient plant operations by troubleshooting complex issues, implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies, and governing Process Safety Management protocols including PHA, MOC, and PSSR. Execute the site capital plan from concept through commissioning while managing budgets and aligning projects with long-term business objectives. Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and data-led initiatives to enhance cost efficiency, throughput, and quality performance. Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, EH&S, and Quality to deliver operational excellence and regulatory compliance within the automotive coatings production facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated experience in chemical or manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence across functions
- Strong experience with: PSM / PHA processes
- Capital project execution
- Budget management
- Ability to support off-shift or weekend needs as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in coatings, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Lean / Six Sigma certification
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital projects
- Knowledge of controls/automation systems
