Job Summary
Engineering Manager responsible for the timely delivery of defined life-cycle handover points (design > manufacture > delivery > commissioning) and expediting review/acceptance by stakeholders. Manages and resolves engineering issues (Technical Queries, Early Warning, Open Points, design change requests), engages approval bodies when the Safety Case may be impacted, and liaises with all parties contributing to delivery. Sets up processes to prioritise queries for efficient resolution, delivers engineering deliverables with stakeholder support, and ensures engineering support throughout activities including installation. Supports risk management, manages design interfaces and supplier feedback, and drives technical resolution of NCRs. Follows up equipment qualification programs and adheres to safety, security and environmental requirements. Requires proven technical leadership in projects within a technically complex, regulated environment (ideally Nuclear Energy), knowledge of EU directives, British Standards, CDM, and Prince2; degree and chartered status; BPSS/SC; travel within the UK and eligibility for UK security clearance. Hybrid work: 1-2 days remote per week.
Required Qualifications
- Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction or related field
- BPSS and SC required
- Ability to travel to Assystem offices and customer sites within UK
- Residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance
