Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead Recast’s Apps & APIs team responsible for the customer-facing surface of Recast's marketing mix modeling platform, including MMM application, agentic apps, public APIs, and MCP server. You’ll grow and lead a team of 4-7 direct reports, establish team norms and high-performance culture, drive delivery priorities and cross-functional handoffs, own the team roadmap, partner with Product on the roadmap, shape and ship MCP server to production-grade, drive a public API strategy prioritizing reliability and developer experience, and support the delivery team behind the web application and agentic apps. Must have a strong technical background in web/API development (Rails and Python), experience designing/shipping production APIs with external consumers, and the ability to translate goals into concrete engineering deliverables while managing a distributed team in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing a globally-distributed software engineering team
- Strong technical background in web and API development (Ruby on Rails, Python APIs)
- Ability to translate ambiguous product goals into concrete engineering deliverables
- Experience shipping in a fast-paced SaaS environment
- Ability to mentor and coach engineers; perform hard conversations as needed
- Proficiency in architecture discussions and code reviews without becoming a bottleneck
- Experience designing and shipping production APIs with real external consumers; focus on DevEx, versioning, reliability
- Comfort working in an async, remote-first environment
