Job Summary
Engineering Manager for API team leading hands-on backend development and architecture. You will contribute code daily, drive architecture decisions, own end-to-end ownership of technical deliverables, and build a high-performing autonomous team. Responsibilities include shaping API design with SOLID, DDD, and Hexagonal patterns, championing TDD and high code quality, owning CI/CD pipelines and release management, mentoring engineers, conducting 1:1s and performance reviews, creating psychological safety, participating in hiring, and ensuring reliability and scalability of backend systems. Strong emphasis on leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and delivering high-value, incremental software improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience leading a team (formal or tech lead responsibilities)
- Strong backend engineering background (Java/Spring)
- Cloud platforms and microservices architecture
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
