Job Summary
Lead the engineering and maintenance function to ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of manufacturing assets, utilities, facilities, and buildings. Develop and execute the site's maintenance, reliability, and asset management strategy while overseeing major shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects from concept through commissioning. Build a high-performing team focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement by coaching, developing talent, and managing the Maintenance Manager, reliability engineers, and project teams. Own the operating and capital budgets, establish KPIs and performance dashboards, and drive Lean, ALPS, and operational excellence initiatives in partnership with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and HSE. Ensure full compliance with corporate, legal, and regulatory requirements including Process Safety, Mechanical Integrity, and Management of Change.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or equivalent)
- 8+ years of engineering and/or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing capital projects, reliability programs and maintenance strategies
- Experience with budget ownership, contractor management and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong knowledge of engineering, maintenance, asset reliability and project management principles
- Understanding of reliability methodologies, Process Safety, Mechanical Integrity and HSE requirements
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Strong leadership, coaching and talent development skills
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication abilities
- Strong business, financial and project management skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to influence across functions and drive operational excellence
Desired Qualifications
- master's degree is considered an asset
- Process industry experience preferred
