Job Summary
Lead a distributed engineering team building shared AI infrastructure powering chatbots, cycle predictions, and personalized health insights for 80M+ users. Translate product goals into roadmaps while managing cross-pod dependencies and resolving blockers in a fluid environment where 30% of work is reactive. Provide hands-on technical guidance for architectural reviews, ensuring safety, medical compliance, and performance standards across model serving stacks. Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders in Product, Analytics, and Engineering, representing Flo's AI vision to industry partners like Databricks and OpenAI. Balance structured delivery with urgent business needs to drive the next generation of digital health.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record managing engineering teams in fast-moving product environments
- Direct, hands-on experience leading or building ML systems in production
- Understanding of MLOps, model serving, or AI platform engineering
- Technical depth to participate in architecture discussions and credibly guide technical trade-offs
- Comfort operating where priorities shift
- Ability to protect roadmap momentum while absorbing urgent requests
