Job Summary
Software Engineering Manager to lead the Agentic Commerce program at zooplus, overseeing AI-driven features for 9M+ customers. Responsible for product vision and delivery, removing technical impediments, promoting architectural best practices, and nurturing team growth. Manages Agile processes and budget (including AWS licenses and personnel). The role focuses on AI-enabled initiatives such as AI Discoverability, AI Analytics & Observability, Conversational AI experiences, Commerce API enablement, and ensuring transactional readiness. Requires 8+ years of software development, proven people management and communication skills, a strong Agile/Lean background, and experience in the e-commerce sector; experience with AI-powered development/LLMs is a plus. The position is headquartered in Munich with offices in Madrid, Krakow, Wroclaw, London, and Vienna, and offers hybrid work (60% in office, 40% at home) with an option for 20 days abroad in approved countries.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience
- strong engineering and design fundamentals
- proven people management and communication skills
- strong background in Agile and Lean methodologies
- extensive experience with software development tools (Atlassian suite, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and operations)
- experience in the e-commerce industry
- ability to lead and mentor a team to deliver product vision and strategy
