Job Summary
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for major water infrastructure projects in Australia. Provide technical leadership across design management, constructability, and project delivery, ensuring solutions are safe, innovative, and commercially sound. Manage engineering deliverables, design reviews, and technical risks while collaborating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve successful project objectives. Champion digital engineering and continuous improvement processes to enhance safety, quality, and sustainability. Report to the Project Director or Head of Engineering Australia, based in Melbourne, with opportunities to mentor professionals and shape the future of sustainable water solutions.
Required Qualifications
- A degree qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in engineering leadership roles within water, major infrastructure, utilities, construction, or related industries
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects
- Strong knowledge of design management, engineering governance, construction methodologies, and project delivery
- Proven ability to manage technical risks, solve complex problems, and deliver practical engineering solutions
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical requirements with project objectives
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
