Job Summary
Engineering Manager 1 to lead a manufacturing team responsible for supporting the manufacture and delivery of Medium Caliber Ammunition or Warhead/Munitions to USG military and commercial customers. The role involves guiding a large group of engineers and technicians, setting safety and quality standards, auditing assembly areas, coordinating with engineering and program management, driving continuous improvement, performing root-cause analyses, and managing resource planning and hiring activities to meet program milestones and performance metrics. Must cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with Northrop Grumman values and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Location is Elk River, MN with travel noted at approximately 10%, and no relocation assistance offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- 5+ years of related engineering experience
- 2+ years of project, program, or people leadership experience
- Strong mechanical skills and exposure to a manufacturing environment
- Ability to network and negotiate at all levels within an organization
- Strong leadership, influence, and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
- Must be able to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- US Citizenship Required
