Engineering (Maintenance) Supervisor

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety equipment. Conduct routine inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify needs and ensure brand standards. Respond to maintenance service requests promptly, assign daily work orders, and supervise engineering associates during shifts. Complete required testing and documentation for fire alarms, generators, and emergency systems while coordinating with vendors and contractors. Maintain proper lock and key control, report safety hazards, and assist with training, scheduling, and performance feedback for team members. Step in to perform hands-on maintenance duties as needed and help maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in building maintenance or engineering
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stand, walk, and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational training
- Prior supervisory or lead experience
- Hotel experience
