Job Summary
Risk Engineer for Engineering Lines delivering advanced risk assessment solutions for internal and external stakeholders, including risk quality system valuations, loss prevention measures, and coverage for construction risks. Responsibilities include conducting risk engineering surveys for construction risks, performing desktop reviews of engineering reports, preparing comprehensive risk assessment reports, delivering risk engineering consultation and recommendations to underwriters and clients, attending client presentations, supporting underwriters, staying updated on industry developments, and traveling up to 20%. Compensation includes base salary and potential bonus; benefits package available. Requires bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field and 4+ years of construction-related engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field
- 4+ years of experience as an engineer
- Project experience in construction
- Professional involvement in pre-construction, procurement, BIM, logistics, EHS, QA/QC, and risk management in construction projects
- Knowledge of risk assessments (fires, explosions, business interruption and natural hazards)
- Knowledge of American and International standards and regulations relating to civil engineering, including OSHA
- Excellent understanding of industry best practice
- Team player, with strong business sense, communication skills and client service mindset
- Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office products)
- Ability to travel (up to 20%)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
