Job Summary
Engineering Lines Executive Underwriter responsible for underwriting Engineering Lines and Builders Risk (CAR/EAR, Electronic Equipment, CPM/CPE, Machinery Breakdown, ALOP/DSU) within delegated authority. Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to ensure sustainable profitability. Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships; represent the company at meetings and industry events. Identify new business opportunities and support growth strategies. Manage and monitor portfolio performance, taking corrective actions when needed. Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, pricing tools, and governance standards. Work collaboratively in a global team. Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to product development and market strategies. 8+ years of experience, deep expertise in CAR/EAR, CPE/CPM, DSU, and MBRs; strong analytical and negotiation skills; network in Central US; experience with large industrial clients and multinational programs.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in Engineering Lines and Builders Risk underwriting
- Deep expertise in CAR/EAR projects, CPE/CPM, DSU, and MBRs
- Proven ability to analyze complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, ideally with a network in Central US
- Experience with large industrial clients and multinational programs highly desirable
