Job Summary
Lead a small, senior engineering team building production LLM systems. Shape the technical vision for AI at Wise: architecture, evaluation, and how we integrate the latest research into production. Partner closely with embedded Data Science, PM, Analyst and Prompt Engineering; stay hands-on with system design and architecture. Be a thought leader on AI engineering at Wise.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years leading engineering teams
- hands-on experience in Java and modern stacks (REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, CI/CD)
- solid understanding of LLM engineering (RAG architectures, vector databases & embeddings, prompt/context engineering, orchestration patterns, tool use, evaluation methods, guardrails/safety approaches)
