Job Summary
Direct laboratory test assignments to staff, evaluate employee performance, and prioritize jobs as needed. Conduct failure analysis testing and reporting to internal and external customers while maintaining test equipment for maintenance and calibration. Provide technical support for drawings, specification reviews, and interpretations, and record mechanical and performance testing data. Update documentation to maintain ISO 17025 Certification and lead related testing requirements. Liaise between inspectors, sales, and materials teams as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in related field OR minimum five years of experience in related field
- Knowledge of PPAP and SPC charts
- Understanding of drawings, applicable text specification, GD&T, and dimensional layouts
- Proficiency with metrology methods utilizing an array of testing equipment
- Knowledge of gage calibration
- Proficiency with testing, neutral salt spray, sample preparation (cutting, mounting, polishing, etching), and interpretation
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
- Proficient computer skills
