Job Summary
Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) seeks an Engineering Intern for Winter/Spring 2027 to assist engineering consultants with inspections, analysis, and testing of vehicles, industrial machinery, consumer products, and other equipment. Responsibilities include participating in scene surveys, creating maps and layout drawings, applying scientific and engineering methods to various projects, and completing a mandatory research project (~40 hours). Internship requires full-time availability (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm); if enrolled in college, interns may take up to two classes and must be able to work at least 32 hours/week. Required skills include independent work capability, verbal and written communication, and intermediate CAD/office software skills; MATLAB and AutoCAD are preferred. Six months of related experience is preferred; candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least Freshman year completed and a good academic standing at an ABET-accredited school are encouraged to apply. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and travel up to three days. Work environment spans office and field locations with potential exposure to varied conditions.
