Job Summary
Engineering Intern in South Africa (Centurion) or UAE (Dubai) offering hands-on experience in electrical/power engineering. Responsibilities include providing technical support to SEL staff and customers, developing and maintaining knowledge of SEL processes and technologies, performing testing on new and existing technology, and documenting/communicating test results. Ideal candidates are fresh graduates or final-year students pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical/Power Engineering, capable of working full-time, with interest in electrical power systems, protection and control, and hands-on familiarity with emulators and logic analyzers, plus practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems. Pay is determined based on the internship role and is hourly in nature.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing final year in Electrical, Power Engineering or related field
- BS or MS in Electrical/Power Engineering OR final-year student
- Based in South Africa for this position
- Willingness to work full-time
- Interest in electrical power systems, protection and control
- Working knowledge of emulators and logic analyzers
- Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems
