Job Summary
Support tooling engineer with daily production and die repair; perform thermal analysis studies on tooling and casting processes to identify heat concentration areas, tooling wear trends, and opportunities to improve cooling and spray configurations. Update die cooling diagrams, conduct casting cycle time studies to identify inefficiencies, assist process technicians with troubleshooting, parameter adjustments, startup activities, and process validation during production runs. Engage in inventory on consumable die components, assist with maintenance of CNC machining fixtures, update tooling documentation and setup sheets, and contribute to engineering documentation and process standards. Utilize Pro/ENGINEER CREO CAD software for daily 3D modeling as part of a fast-paced die-casting engineering team.
