Job Summary
Engineering internship in plant operations at IKO Industries. Work under the guidance of senior engineers and professionals in intern/Co-op roles across the Plant Maintenance team, Environmental Health and Safety, and document/control activities. Assist with updating SOPs, Job Hazard Analysis, and Standard Work Instructions; perform spare parts optimization for PM and PdM tasks; collaborate with Millwrights to standardize PM templates and ensure drawings are updated; collect and analyze CMMS data to identify common failure modes; complete the DNA project linking equipment drawings to CMMS; participate in other projects as needed. Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering, proficient in MS Office, able to read drawings, with AutoCAD a plus; strong critical thinking, organization, and the ability to stand/walk, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in the United States. Potential for future internship/co-op placements or full-time roles; local to Florida; no relocation is offered; English fluency required.
Required Qualifications
- Junior or Senior engineering student in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Excel (advanced functionality), MS Word, MS Power Point & Adobe Acrobat
- Able to read and interpret drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
