Job Summary

Lead a team responsible for releasing GM's high voltage distribution and sensing hardware, including Battery Disconnect Units, junction boxes, and current/voltage sensing components. Translate propulsion strategy into technology roadmaps that ensure robust system designs while driving issue resolution with urgency. Partner with propulsion, safety, manufacturing, and suppliers to balance performance, quality, timing, and cost across electrified portfolio programs. Build and develop high-performing organizations by recruiting top engineering talent, coaching technical specialists, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Provide candid performance feedback, address concerns timely, and create clear line of sight from organizational objectives to individual contributions. Manage multiple assignments with composure, remove roadblocks, and escalate appropriately to support timely decision-making in a fast-evolving EV landscape.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in all phases of product development from initiation to launch
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, tools, and vehicle / propulsion development processes
  • Working knowledge of propulsion components and battery systems
  • Experience leading projects and people (directly or indirectly), with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization and planning capability, with the ability to quickly identify and remove roadblocks and escalate as appropriate
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, with proven capability to balance technical and business needs
  • Strong collaboration skills and enterprise business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and support timely decision making
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with a high level of composure and proven results
  • DFSS black belt
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Prior DRE and people leader experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in design and development of High Voltage components
  • Knowledge of GD&T Software, Calibration and/or Diagnostic experience
  • Quality/Warranty improvement experience
  • Experience improving Engineering processes for faster production execution and First Time Quality (FTQ) of new designs
  • Masters in Engineering Management or Business Administration
