Job Summary
The Engineering Faculty role involves mentoring and advising engineering students, teaching courses related to engineering expertise, and conducting labs within the Engineering Core. Candidates are expected to possess a graduate degree in engineering, preferably a Master's degree, with a focus on Civil Engineering or related fields. Ideal applicants will have excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to a biblical worldview, alongside a desire to foster a critical learning environment. Preferred qualifications include doctoral degrees, certifications like EIT or P.E., and prior college teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in engineering with expertise in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational abilities in teaching and classroom management
- Commitment to a biblically consistent view of science
- Commitment to personal professional development
- Participation in appropriate professional organizations
- College classroom teaching experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- PhD and/or P.E. certification
Additional Requirements
- Applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must agree with and affirm the Bob Jones University creed and mission
- Expected to maintain a conservative lifestyle
- Must be an active member of a local Bible believing church
