Job Summary
Lead multiple teams of 10-15 engineers to own and deliver critical product components while collaborating with Engineering Managers on technical design. Set up organizational processes for timely, high-quality project delivery and oversee architecture for scalable solutions. Engage with product management and the CTO office to drive functionality and usability, ensuring on-time launches through standard project planning. Establish metrics for engineering excellence and implement regular assessment processes. Mentor front-line managers and engineers while demonstrating strong business and technical judgment to accelerate time to market.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience working at a startup
- 10 years of work experience in software development
- 5 years in a leadership role
- Experienced in microservices-based architecture
- Experience in building and running distributed systems for 24x7 online services at scale
- Deep understanding of expertise with highly transactional, large relational, and complex systems
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design
- Knowledge of data structures
- Knowledge of algorithm design
- Knowledge of complexity analysis
- Experience in defining and executing professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions
