Job Summary
Engineering Director responsible for leading the design and development of next-generation MBG products, driving cross-functional execution from concept through production launch, and building a high-performing engineering team and culture. Will partner with production, quality, supply chain, and customer service to ensure products are manufacturable, meet real-world use and quality standards, and are launched with strong alignment to sales and marketing. Must demonstrate passion for boating and the marine industry, spend time on boats, and balance engineering fundamentals with practical execution to deliver on-time, high-quality boats. Key responsibilities include setting product development priorities based on customer use and business needs, driving milestone-based execution, ensuring clear handoffs to production with strong documentation, and continuously improving efficiency and build quality across the MBG product portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university (Mechanical, Marine, Ocean, Electrical, or Naval Architecture)
- Proven track record leading product development from concept through production launch
- Experience managing Engineering teams and delivering complex, high-quality products
