Job Summary
Provide technical and design services on multi-discipline project teams for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data systems across healthcare, education, government, and commercial facilities. Generate electrical design and construction drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD, while observing construction progress on involved projects. Prepare design computations, assessments, and technical reports under senior guidance, coordinating with the Project Manager and design team to complete tasks within budget and schedule. Report directly to a Senior Engineer. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, 0-2 years of facility design experience, and proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering with electrical focus, from an ABET-accredited university
- 0-2 years of documented applicable experience working on facilities similar to those described above
- Process-oriented individual with strong organization, technical and communication skills
- Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from Project Manager and Electrical lead and coordinate efforts with design team
- Enjoys working alone when required but can work effectively on a project team
- Able to complete work consistently with flexibility to accommodate varying project demands
- Must maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work
- 0-2 years of Autodesk REVIT experience gained in a similar design-related field
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, as well as Bluebeam
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) commensurate with their years of experience
- High technical aptitude, interested in technology and staying current in their field
- Ability to climb ladders and perform field survey duties
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD preferred
- Having passed the FE/EIT examination and working toward becoming a licensed Professional Engineer within a few years
