Job Summary
Engineering Designer - Electrical role focusing on supporting the Vehicle Integrations team with design, testing, and performance validation of electrical harness and system prototypes for vehicle installation. Responsibilities include producing detailed harness and mechanical CAD drawings following company standards, participating in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement of electrical component function and quality, reading and interpreting electrical/hydraulic/mechanical drawings and government regulations, and assisting in creating installation literature and product documentation. Requires familiarity with 12V DC electrical systems, ability to interpret technical manuals, and proficiency with CAD tools (DraftSite or AutoCAD) to solve engineering problems. Will support lean activities (e.g., 5S) and perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with 12V DC electrical systems
- Experience working on vehicle electrical systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and schematics
- Ability to write operations and procedure manuals
- 2D CAD skills are desirable (on-the-job training available)
