Job Summary
Engineer Design 3 provides cost, schedule, and earned value support to the Naval Architecture Cost Center CAMs, maintains EVMS/compliance, analyzes cost and schedule, supports VAR reviews, internal surveillance, EVMS training, and IBR preparation. Designs major components or system portions, evaluates design factors such as manufacturability, material availability, interchangeability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specs, coordinates with other organizations, creates layouts and checks drawings for standards and accuracy. Requires strong analytical/organizational skills and proficiency in Excel, Access, and SAP or similar systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in related field (5 years) or Master’s Degree (3 years) or PhD 0 years
- Must Have: 5 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s Degree; 0 years with a PhD
- Proficiency in Excel, Access; working knowledge of SAP or similar systems
