Job Summary
Lead security engineering initiatives as VP of Security Engineering in Dallas. Conduct application security assessments (code reviews, penetration testing, threat modelling), review architecture, policies, and standards; document findings and actionable remediation; assess vulnerabilities in software designs and processes to reduce risk; research new cloud services for secure adoption; collaborate with stakeholders to understand software design, analyze threats, socialize test cases, and provide security consulting to engineers, incident management, and forensic teams; stay current with technologies to strengthen the firm’s cyber defense program.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with three (3) years of experience in security engineering or related role; or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with five (5) years of experience in security engineering or related role; 3 years (with Master’s) or 5 years (with Bachelor’s) of experience reviewing security controls and identifying security gaps; ability to articulate risk to developers/engineers; experience engaging with applications teams to design and build security elements; 1 year (with Master’s) or 3 years (with Bachelor’s) of experience with application vulnerability assessment and penetration testing of web applications; code review of web languages such as Java; experience with technologies leveraging common web stacks (e.g., Java); architecture review of web applications.
