Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and surface preparation. Visually inspect tools and machines, identify utility shut-offs, and maintain inventory while requisitioning parts. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs, perform general housekeeping duties, and handle landscaping and sprinkler repairs. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before all maintenance work and input air handler schedules via computer. Requires a driver's license and high school diploma. Some general maintenance experience preferred; hotel engineering experience a plus. Full-time role with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in electrical
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in mechanical
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in plumbing
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in carpentry and finish skills
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in kitchen equipment
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in vehicles
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in energy conservation
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in general building
- basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
