Job Summary
The Air Quality Permit Engineering Assistant I will review air quality permit applications for new stationary sources and renewals, determine completeness, and draft air quality permits involving technical assessment of emissions and mitigation measures. The role includes estimating emissions, tracking permit actions in Accela, generating invoices, and coordinating with other departments and public agencies. Responsibilities also include design review of plans and technical reports, preparing as-built plans or statistical analyses, managing construction of public works projects, and providing professional engineering guidance in operations of facilities, with a focus on compliance with county standards and specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment
- Valid driver license at time of application
- Valid AZ driver license at time of appointment
