Job Summary
Analyze and enhance Ferguson's marketplace position to gain acceptance of engineered stormwater, erosion, and geosynthetic products among civil sitework specifiers, engineers, municipalities, and landscape architects. Increase industry awareness by attending tradeshows, conferences, and meetings, then prepare and present technical presentations throughout the New England region. Research local green infrastructure codes to build targeted sales strategies, while routinely engaging end users, engineering firms, and contractors to support project opportunities. Coordinate and manage projects through the specification process, assist with pre-bid and post-construction meetings, and provide timely feedback on pending projects and sales pipelines. Co-manage sales revenues with the Geo Storm Associate and regional management. This remote role requires residing in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine, with an estimated monthly salary range of $8,083.34 to $12,933.34.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must live in or near Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine
- Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and submittals
- Competent and engaging public speaker
- Strong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems
- Basic reporting experience using Excel, including sorting, filtering, and data compilation
- Demonstrated relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Engineering license, preferred
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience with innovative products in the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management space
- Prior use of Salesforce CRM is a bonus but not required
