Job Summary
Roadway design engineer in Wood Rodgers' Transportation Department to design roadway system improvements and related structures under senior guidance; prepare plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates; conduct technical studies and produce project reports; develop preliminary concepts and layouts; oversee and mentor entry-level staff. Requires a Civil Engineering degree, a California PE license, 5+ years of roadway design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design standards (Caltrans HDM, MUTCD).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience on roadway design projects
- Expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design related software
- Experience with Caltrans Highway Design Manual and MUTCD
