Job Summary
The Wind Engineer will be responsible for optimizing wind facilities by coordinating engineering activities and special projects. Key duties include project management, contract administration, and the development of maintenance programs. The role involves site audits, troubleshooting support, and proposing improvements to minimize operating costs. Candidates must possess a BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and have at least 3 years of engineering experience in Wind Operations, along with strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft applications is required, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement is essential.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering or related field, Mechanical preferred
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in Wind Operations & Maintenance, Development or Construction
- Ability to climb wind turbines
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and planning, prioritizing and organizing abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications
- A strong personal commitment to continuous improvement
- Values excellence in safety and environmental
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with applicable OSHA standards
- Having GWO BST/ART certification
