Job Summary
Support engineering design and consulting efforts for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects by preparing hydraulic and hydrologic calculations and utilizing GIS and AutoCAD to develop project drawings and technical documentation. Assist with infrastructure condition assessments, permitting, cost estimating, and construction contract documents while engaging directly with clients for project updates and presentations. Participate as a team member to build hands-on design experience and share knowledge across the group. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 3–6 years of consulting experience and proficiency in design software. Base compensation ranges from $81,200 to $121,800 annually for this hybrid role in the Washington D.C. area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 3–6 years of experience in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater engineering consulting
- Strong proficiency in GIS and AutoCAD
- Foundational understanding of infrastructure design, including pipelines, manholes, pump systems, and grading plans
- Understanding of soil conditions and erosion and sediment control practices
- EIT
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and clearly present technical information both verbally and in writing
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and client-focused with strong problem-solving abilities

- Master's degree
- PE license or ability to obtain within one year
