Job Summary
Develop technical requirements and oversee supplier project management for submarine component systems. Review drawings, procedures, and technical documentation while leading meetings and presentations with Navy customers. Manage system interfaces across electrical, structural, piping, and mechanical domains, supporting 3D model development and vendor design oversight. Obtain formal customer approval for designs and provide construction engineering support on shipyard sites. Periodic overtime or travel to Navy and supplier facilities may be required. This role contributes to the design and construction of the next generation of US Navy submarines within the Electrical Components Department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Civil, or Engineering
- 5+ years of postgraduate engineering experience
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
