Job Summary
Conduct electrical layout design and spatial integration for power systems, including switchgear, cable trays, and transformers, using 3D modeling and CAD software. Perform interference checks to ensure infrastructure does not conflict with mechanical or structural elements. Support mechanical design by creating brackets and frames for mounting electrical equipment. Assist in updating "As-Built" drawings and maintain document control systems. Oversee multiple projects to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards. Verify layouts comply with safety protocols, local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct site visits to measure existing conditions and communicate layout requirements to installation contractors. Manage technical guidance for clients and coordinate with architects, urban planners, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical, civil, and structural aspects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in advanced CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to adapt and multitask with project / application engineers
- Strong aptitude for spatial visualization and 3D modeling
- Willingness to travel on short notice, both within the base country and overseas, for short- and long-term assignments
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in plant engineering, construction, or heavy industrial facility design
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- PLM experience
- Primavera experience
- Collaborate effectively within a matrix team environment
