Job Summary
The Engineer applies knowledge of engineering principles to design and plan installations, replacements, and maintenance of the Sycamore Gas pipeline system. Responsibilities include conducting surveys for pipeline routes, specifying gas facility types, flow capacity calculations, and preparing construction drawings. The role requires effective communication with internal and external customers, project cost estimating, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, experience in the natural gas industry, and skills in CAD and GIS, as well as the ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited program
- Experience with computer applications
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator license
- Bondable with no record of felony convictions
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of corrosion control design and maintenance
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software systems
- Experience in the natural gas industry
- Knowledge of pipeline design, construction and/or operations
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Proficient with running simulation modeling software (i.e. SynerGi)
- Engineering experience working with Safety regulations including but not limited to PHMSA (Pipeline Safety Standards), National Fuel Gas Code 54, and State administrative code
