Job Summary
Conduct new design or revision of PCBA of the optical transceiver from concept to completion. Drive board design phases including product spec review, architecture design, component selection, schematics drawing, BOM, board layout, and testing. Coordinate with engineers to optimize transceiver design and support design reviews. Lead integration of hardware, firmware, and optics, and debug issues. Must have a Master’s degree and 4+ years in the optical transceiver industry, with strong analog circuit design skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, telecom engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of working experience as an electrical or hardware engineer in the optical transceiver industry
- Strong analog circuit design skills
- Good knowledge of power supply designs
- Hands on measurement experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of PCB fab and assembly processes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with high density multiple-layer board design cycle
- Expertise in RF design using modeling tools such as ADS or HFSS
- Understanding of microprocessors and real time control firmware
