Job Summary
Senior Sr. Application Security Engineer responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining software security capabilities in a cloud-based environment. Drives governance and automation of security controls, develops infrastructure to support security services, and collaborates with development and operations teams globally to ensure secure software delivery. Key focus areas include securing applications with SAST/DAST, building cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters via IaC, automating governance processes, performing security reviews of releases, and communicating findings to teams for remediation. Must have hands-on experience with cloud-native development, CI/CD, APIs, scripting, and threat modeling. Remote-friendly with potential travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-person collaboration; candidates sourced from remote hubs in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas, and must be located in FL, GA, TX, or NC for extended search."
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar; 5+ years of professional experience
- Hands-on experience writing software applications, including APIs, web applications, and scripts
- Strong experience operating and administrating common security tools like SAST and DAST scanners
- Strong experience communicating security findings to teams and following through on remediation efforts
- Hands-on experience performing threat modeling and adversarial testing of software applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native application development and operations, including the use of CI/CD pipelines, cloud compute resources, and containerization (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
