Job Summary
Engineer role supporting NATO NCIA projects across multiple global locations with responsibility for implementing and maintaining infrastructure security solutions. Responsibilities include providing project implementation support, ensuring stability and performance of deployed systems post-implementation through monitoring and addressing issues, applying approved security configurations to maintain security posture, contributing to remediation of CIS security findings for infrastructure elements, and planning, deploying, and configuring hardware, software, and security products. Essential skills include knowledge of computer and network security, Linux OS, infrastructure as code, automation tools, security technologies for hybrid-cloud/SASE/on-prem DMZ, cyber hygiene, and practical systems administration, plus strong problem-solving and clear communication to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications
- Knowledge of and proven experience with linux OS, infrastructure as code and automation tools
- Knowledge of security technologies and solutions specific to hybrid-cloud, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On-Premise DMZ capabilities
- Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence
- Practical hands-on experience with systems administration
- Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences and teams
- Working Location: Mons, Belgium
- Working Policy: Onsite
- Travel: Some travel to other NATO sites may be required
- Security Clearance: Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
