Job Summary
Engineer Site Support needed for autonomous Systems & Infrastructure engineering on a long-term freelance/contract basis. The role involves managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing core infrastructure to ensure high availability and robust security compliance. Key responsibilities include virtualization management, Windows workstation/server administration, ITSM with ServiceNow, Active Directory and WSUS patch management, networking and firewall troubleshooting, secure data transfer, vulnerability identification and remediation, and ensuring compliance with the Closed Loop Framework in manufacturing/production environments. Part-time schedule (~100 hours per month) with on-site work at Woodridge, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in similar roles
- Virtualization: solid experience managing and configuring virtualized environments
- Windows Ecosystem: strong expertise in Windows operating systems for workstations and servers
- ITSM Tools: hands-on experience with ServiceNow (incident, change, and request management)
- Directory & Patch Management: Active Directory and WSUS
- Networking & Security: administration and troubleshooting of networks and firewalls
- Data Transfer: familiarity with professional file transfer software and secure data systems
- Vulnerability Management: practical awareness and experience in vulnerability identification, management, and remediation
- Experience with the Closed Loop Framework and its compliance requirements
- Background or familiarity with infrastructure support in manufacturing/production environments
- On-site infrastructure operations environment
