Job Summary
Create and maintain schedules and budgets for large distribution and transmission natural gas projects within the Southern Division. Examine, plan, and manage natural gas pipeline projects in Charleston, Summerville, Beaufort, Bluffton, and outlying areas. Provide project management support to the Manager of Engineering and Construction regarding budget variances and infrastructure execution decisions. Serve as a technical expert on engineering-related legal and regulatory issues and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions to operational problems. Perform research to address complex engineering challenges and lead teams on highly difficult and complex work requiring independent judgment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
- registered E.I.T.
- Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals
- Requires developmental experience in a professional engineering position
- Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives
- Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Able to perform highly difficult and complex work requiring extensive knowledge of the subject matter and significant experience within the functional assignment area
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead
- Proven decision-making skills
- Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
- registered P.E.
- Plans and conducts complex work requiring independent judgement to develop solutions
- Serves as technical expert on engineering related legal and regulatory issues
- A resource to management on more complex engineering problems and issues
- Perform research to find innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to operational problems within assigned area
- Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited Engineering Program from a recognized college or university

- Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below
