Engineer / Senior Engineer – Compiler Team

Job Summary
As an Engineer in the Compiler Group, contribute to C, C++, and Rust toolchains and runtime libraries for Wind River’s real-time embedded OS and VxWorks. Develop functionally safe and secure libraries, collaborate with global software teams, and work with open-source communities. Follow safe and secure development processes and participate in a team with decades of compiler-focused experience. Required qualifications include a CS/engineering degree (or equivalent), 3+ years of systems development, strong C/C++ skills, Bash/Python scripting, and familiarity with embedded environments (PowerPC/Arm/Intel/RISC-V). Knowledge of LLVM, Rust, and ASPICE automotive standards is a plus, and candidates must be eligible for security clearance per citizenship requirements. },
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of systems development experience in the industry
- Experience in scripting languages e.g., Bash, Python
- Strong C/C++ programming experience
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing software for a PowerPC/Arm/Intel/RISC-V based embedded environment
- Knowledge of compiler development, LLVM internals, Rust is a major plus
- Knowledge of ASPICE and/or automotive standards is a plus
