Job Summary
Engineer/Scientist II role on-site in Bend, OR focused on operating and developing bioprocessing workflows for mammalian cell culture, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to advance biomanufacturing technologies. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mammalian cell culture equipment and control systems; execute routine cell culture using sterile techniques; support automated liquid handling workflows and laboratory processes; develop and run assays to evaluate cell performance, productivity, and product quality; generate accurate and reproducible data to support process development; collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments; communicate results clearly and contribute to improving experimental approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in bioengineering, chemical engineering, biology, or a related field
- Experience with cell culture, assay development, or bioprocessing (2+ years preferred)
- Ability to analyze data and apply basic statistical methods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Practical skills in troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Experience with bioreactors or protein expression systems is a plus
- Willingness to work on site regularly and follow required safety practices
Desired Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in cell culture, assay development, or bioprocessing (preferred)
